Drawing like a child

Baltimore. I'm spending more time here. My sister, Breon, and I recently moved my mother here from Detroit. I'm here to attend my niece's wedding, and visit with family. I've also found time to go to Washington to visit museums. Breon asked me make numbered cards so wedding guests could find their seats for the post-wedding dinner. This is what I made. I drew the numbers 2-16 on 4 x 6" cards with watercolor pencils and heavy watercolor paper. I used a water soluble colored pencil, something I haven't tried in years. Working this way, it reminded me of what one might call what it is that children do, "coloring."
